Extremely flavoursome, tho we expected more than one portion of duck meat between us. Very easy to warm up for a 'night off ' meal.

For those of your customers who know what a good cassoulet tastes like, I would advise them to stay clear of 'La Belle Chaurienne'. The beans were the only genuine ingredient, The so-called saucisses de Toulouse were tasteless and texture-less (our local butcher makes far better ones) and the manchons de canard were tough and did not remotely taste of duck. As a French woman, I feel ashamed that my compatriots of Castelnaudary dare to export such a product. A proper cassoulet is such a delight - by contrast that one was a great disappointment, I dread to think what the contents of the tin of saucisses de Toulouse aux lentilles will be like - I expect the lentils will be good at least. Good flavour but not as much meat as some similar products we have bought from French supermarkets. A bit on the expensive side

I love Cassoulet but rarely have the time to make it, so this tinned product from the Languedoc area is a great stand by - an authentic recipe and quality food - yum!
