We had one of these ducks in November and it was wonderful, so much so we bought another for Christmas. This one couldn't have been more different, what a let down! The duck was fatty, with lots of gristle rolled inside making it extremely unpleasant, the stuffing quantity was excessive and lacking in flavour. Will not buy again, I'm very disappointed at the inconsistency of quality.

A change from turkey, nicely presented and generous portion. Somewhat lacking in flavour but perhaps that was my cooking.

Delicious! A great hit with guests in the holiday season. Full flavored meat with tasty stuffing. Only minus point were the tough tendons at base of wings for that serving cut. Served with orange sauce. Cooking times were spot on. 2.12kg bird served five generous portions, with two legs left over. Arrived vacuum packed and chilled.

Excellent roast for pre-christmas family dinner. Brilliant comments from all our guests, especially for the stuffing. Missed off the 5th star because the quantity was only just sufficient for 6 - fortunately we only had 6 to dinner that night. Any more and the duck roast would not have been sufficient.

An initial issue with the stuffed duck was that the cooking instructions attached to the product recommended a roasting temperature 20⁰ different from that suggested on the website. Fortunately this was speedily resolved by emailing customer services (and the website has been corrected). The cooking instructions were followed precisely and the meat was cooked perfectly, but the skin did not crisp as well as I had hoped. When I came to carve, it was immediately apparent that the proportion of stuffing in the bird was rather higher than I expected from the illustration on the website. I just managed to provide six portions: there is no way that this product would have served 8. The delicious meat and stuffing were greatly enjoyed, but overall I was just a little disappointed.

Bought for a special occasion. Everyone said it was the nicest meal they'd had for a very long time. Beautifully presented, nice stuffing to meat ratio and easy to cook and serve, I'm looking forward to having another.

I had one of these last year and it was delicious . I ordered one again to be delivered on 19 but it did not arrive till 22 by which time I was no longer at home . My neighbour has had to put it in the freezer for me . Having used Dukeshill for many years I was disappointed as they are usually so reliable .
