At Dukeshill we love to make life easy for you. However we are well aware that for some of you a ham isn’t a ham unless you’ve cooked it yourself! All our main types of ham are available uncooked. Please remember that the York and Shropshire Black are dry-cured and will need to be soaked for 24-48 hours prior to cooking.

Before ordering a whole ham, do please make sure that you have something big enough to cook it in! All our uncooked hams come with a free cooking bag and cooking instructions.

Remove packaging To Boil: Place ham in a large saucepan and cover with cold water, bring slowly to the boil and simmer for approximately 25 minutes per pound (500g). Unless you want to serve it hot, let it cool in the boiling water. To Bake: We recommend simmering for 20 minutes per pound, followed by baking at /190°C/170°C fan/Gas mk 5.

Keep refrigerated between 0-5°C. Consume within 5 days of opening. Suitable for freezing
