The Country's Tastiest Bacon - It's Official! |
Bacon Connoisseurs’ Week featured a nationwide search to find the very best bacon. Heading the judging panel was interior designer Anna Ryder Richardson, who was challenged with finding the country’s tastiest bacon. The good news is that Dukeshill Ham Company has won the Independent Retailer category in this national competition.
Anna said “Dukeshill Ham Companys’ bacon really stood out as something special. The mixture of salt and meaty texture makes it a product that deserves recognition by all bacon connoisseurs’.”
The photo above shows Nick Trott, our Master Bacon Curer, and Neal Hollingsworth receiving this prestigious award from Ms Ryder Richardson.

Dukeshill Traditional Bacon |
There’s bacon, then there’s Dukeshill British bacon. Dry cured by hand using sea salt and unrefined brown sugar, it has a flavour that harks back to the “good old days” - and because no water goes into it when we make it, none will come oozing back out when you cook it! Available unsmoked or traditionally kiln-smoked for a more intense flavour.
We only use British pigs to produce our traditional dry cured Bacon.
